Dear readers, it's with a bit of sadness, a dash of remorse, and a health dose of contemplation that we've decided to put the Diablo Minute Podcast on a temporary hiatus.  The podcast has grown much faster beyond any stretch of our imaginations and because of this, we believe the listenership deserves a better written, better produced and more substantial podcast.  As we all know, Diablo 3 is coming soon but the exact time is still unknown.  We would love to give it our all for the series we all love but in all honesty, it's very difficult to produce content that's worthy of the great game Blizzard has developed when we have retired from the Diablo scene. This means that the site will still continue with news nuggets and updates posted as they occur but the focus will shift to a meld of Blizzard topics instead of purely Diablo related posts.  As for the podcast, we will re-evaluate the situation as more news is announced by Blizzard on the fate of Diablo 3.  We are still planning on attending Blizzcon 2009 (if we can secure tickets) and if we learn of anything more from its hallowed halls, you will hear ...

Blizzard has released its digital authenticator for Battle.Net accounts to the Apple App Store.  This application is meant to be an added security layer in your login process for all Battle.Net accounts.  The application is basically a digital version of the physical authenticator key-chain Blizzard currently sells for $7 US on its online store.

It's always sad when games and animated features decides to change up its voice actors for any reason.  Especially with a title as entrentched as StarCraft.  The folks over at Starcraftwire.net have discovered that the voice actors who played the roles of Raynor and Kerrigan will not be returning in StarCraft II.  This isn't exactly "news" since Blizzard had contacted agencies last November for actors for those two roles, it was pretty much confirmed that Glynnis Talken and Robert Clotworthy were not returning. The most recent voice acting snaffu was with the casting of Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime in the Transformers movie.  That near miss was too close for comfort for the most dedicated fans who grew up with Cullen AS Optimus Prime.  This is even worse for StarCraft fans since StarCraft is still being played to this day and the voice actors are as much a part of the game as Zergs and Firebats. Here's a video that highlights the Archangel Staff of Apocalypse: As you can see, this isn't your mom's staff!  It's got some serious firepower and certainly does incredible amounts of damage.  Something like this would have been an epic find but thanks to Diablo 1's duping, everyone and their dogs had one.

Latest patch notes for Blizzard's World of Warcraft public test realm. Usually, when these patches goes live on the PTR, it's a good indication that the real one will be rolling out soon.
